American Embassy School-Elementary, New Delhi
This fast-track project involved the complete renovation of one grade level—from design to construction—within a single summer break. The goal: to transform a traditional double-loaded corridor layout into a dynamic, flexible learning environment that supports a range of educational modalities.
The new design moves beyond the “cells and bells” model to introduce diverse spaces including:
“Caves” for quiet, individual reflection
Learning Commons for group collaboration and presentations
A Da Vinci Studio for hands-on, project-based learning and innovation
Designed to inspire and engage, the space welcomes students with natural textures, organic patterns, and an inviting atmosphere that brings elements of nature indoors, fostering well-being and creativity.
This renovation reflects a modern approach to 21st-century education design, prioritizing adaptability, student agency, and immersive learning experiences.
