NSBM University, Srilanka
Commissioned by the Government of Sri Lanka under the affiliation of NIBM, the National School of Business Management (NSBM) is a visionary new-town-style university campus that redefines higher education infrastructure in South Asia. Appointed as the Educational Facility Planner and Co-Design Architect, EDI played a central role in shaping this landmark project.
Spread across 26 developed acres within a 150-acre site in Colombo, the campus includes 950,000 sq. ft. of built-up area, organized into four distinct zones:
- Public Zone: A vibrant Business Park anchored by an Urban Square, featuring an Auditorium, Exhibition and Convention Spaces, Commercial Areas, and Incubation Hubs.

- Semi-Private Zone: Core academic areas for Faculties, Lecture Halls, and Research Laboratories—designed as modular knowledge hubs.
- Private Zone: Student housing and Staff residences, offering a secure and inclusive living environment.
As South Asia’s first certified green university, NSBM Green University Town has earned the BCA Green Mark Gold rating, setting a new benchmark in sustainable campus design.
