International School of Dusseldorf, Germany
Education Design International partnered with ISD to develop a comprehensive campus master plan that aligns with the school’s evolving strategic vision for 21st-century learning. Through a detailed assessment of existing facilities and future academic needs, a clear roadmap was established to support ISD’s mission and long-term goals.
A key component of this transformation is the Pathfinder Project—an innovative redesign of the elementary school’s 5th-grade wing. Inspired by nature, the space merges biophilic design with immersive, student-centered learning. Elements like indoor forts, tree trunks, and undulating landscape features turn traditional classrooms into dynamic environments that promote collaborative learning, creativity, and engagement.
This project showcases how flexible learning spaces and thoughtful architectural interventions can shape future-ready education, enabling schools to seamlessly integrate pedagogy with spatial design.

We fully acknowledge and greatly appreciate your association and contributions at all stages. Believe me, you have built a long list here of your followers and admirers.
