Abu Dhabi University, Al Ain
For the new Abu Dhabi University campus in Al Ain, EDI embraced a culturally rooted yet globally inspired concept—“Cosmoses.” This visionary theme transforms the university into a universe of learning, celebrating Abu Dhabi’s rich heritage while aligning with international standards in educational design.
Inspired by the symbolic Ghaf tree—a national emblem of tolerance, resilience, and stability—the interiors feature bold forms, fluid geometries, and vibrant colors that foster creativity, collaboration, and curiosity. The spatial planning blends modern functionality with cultural identity, offering inclusive, flexible learning spaces for both male and female students.
The design supports holistic education through purposeful zones for social interaction, academic collaboration, and personal reflection. From the dynamic student hubs to faculty lounges and academic spaces, every element reinforces ADU’s values of diversity, innovation, and community.
“Cosmoses” is more than a theme—it’s a spatial narrative that reflects the spirit of a new generation, turning the ADU campus into a center of educational excellence and a beacon of cultural pride.
