    Randall Fielding, AIA, is the Chairman and Founding Partner of Fielding Nair International, LLC (FNI), an award-winning school planning and design firm with offices in Minneapolis, Tampa, Madison and Melbourne, Australia. The firm has consultations in 23 states around the U.S. and 26 countries. Randy oversees FNI’s primary mission to improve learning by serving as a world leader in the creation of new and renovated educational campuses that are in consonance with best practice and research.  

    Randy’s achievements have earned him more than a dozen design awards from the American Institute of Architects, The Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI), the American Association of School Administrators, and School Planning and Management Magazine. He is internationally recognized as an authority on innovative school design and received the CEFPI Planner of the Year Award in 2007 — the most prestigious honor of any individual in the field of educational design. He has been selected to serve as an architect, consultant, presenter and/or keynote speaker in Australia, Azerbaijan, Canada, Cayman Islands, Chile, Finland, Great Britain, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Portugal, Qatar, Singapore, The Czech Republic, The Netherlands, Sri Lanka, Spain, Switzerland, and the United States.  

    One of Randy’s “signatures” is his ability to come down off of the podium, sharing ideas with heads of state, educators, and children with equal passion. This spirit of sharing extends to two million people each year, through DesignShare.com, an online forum for innovative learning environments that Randy founded in 1998. He continues to serve as DesignShare’s editorial director, but the focus of his work is to lead communities in the design of environmentally responsive campuses that foster personalized learning and strong connections to the community.  

    Randy’s design work leverages more than 500 case studies from 30 countries — the largest library of innovative school designs in the world. The interactive planning and design process pioneered by FNI is also grounded in a seminal book that Randy co-authored with Prakash Nair, entitled The Language of School Design. The book establishes key learning modalities for success in the post-information society, and provides a series of design patterns to support these modalities. Randy uses the design patterns as a tool in evaluating existing and proposed facilities, and as a launching point for developing customized solutions for each individual community, campus, school or district that he works with.  

    In addition to serving as a lead design architect, teamwork underpins all of Randy’s work, which takes him around the world to collaborate with public and private institutions, educators, developers, and local architects. Whether it’s a high school near ground zero in New York City, a series of vocational schools for the tsunami-damaged areas of Sri Lanka, a school for at-risk students in Minneapolis, a K-12 campus in Indonesia, or a college preparatory school in Switzerland, he finds more commonalties in each community than differences.

    Prakash Nair is a futurist, a visionary planner and architect with Fielding Nair International, one of the world’s leading change agents in school design. He is also the Managing Editor of DesignShare.com which attracts over one million visitors each year. He is the recipient of several international awards including the prestigious CEFPI MacConnell Award, the top honor worldwide for school design.

    He has written extensively in leading international journals about school design and educational technology and their connection to established educational research. He is also the author of two guidebooks on school planning including the landmark 2005 publication, The Language of School Design which he co-authored with his partner Randall Fielding.

    Prior to co-founding Fielding Nair International, Prakash worked for 10 years as Director of Operations for a multi-billion dollar school construction program for New York City.

    In 2003, Prakash completed a project with the University of Wisconsin on a Rockefeller Foundation-funded grant to develop international best practice standards for tomorrow’s schools. He also led the effort to develop a new research-based tool to evaluate the educational effectiveness of schools. This tool, now being tested by schools and governments in the United States, Australia and Singapore will revolutionize the way we look at how school buildings and campuses actually work to support teaching and learning.

    Prakash has served as the Northeast Regional President of the Council of Educational Facility Planners International and serves on the ICOPE Task Force — New York City’s Independent Commission on Public Education.

    FNI has serviced projects in 26 countries on 5 continents. Prakash has served as the Managing Principal, school planning and design consultant, presenter and/or keynote speaker for clients in Australia (five states), Canada, Finland, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Qatar, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand, The Netherlands, Spain, U.A.E., U.K. and the United States.

    Yatin is actively involved from the Conceptual Planning in a project to the Final execution of designs on Interior projects along with co-ordination with service consultants & contractors. As Founder & Principal Architect and Director of DSP Design Associates, he oversees all projects being designed and executed by the firm. He is a member of the Council of Architecture, Indian Institute of Architects & Indian Institute of Interior Designers. He has also been presented with the following honours:

    Bipin serves as the Chief Operating Officer for EDA apart from being one among the Directors of the company. He heads the pan-India operations & management of the organization and is based at the Bangalore headquarters of EDA. He brings with him significant experience in managing business enterprises from diverse industries. EDA benefits from his expertise in commercial operations, professional & process oriented approach in administering several portfolios and departments in the firm.

    He was associated with the education industry from a very young age providing end to end human resource solutions acting as a representative in India for the Ministry of Education, Rep. of Maldives. He was responsible for recruitment, selection and providing curriculum awareness to secondary school teachers. He was also associated with the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, serving as India Events Manager for all education promotion and marketing activities conducted by several private and public Malaysian universities. He organized road shows and exhibition events in various cities across India. During the same period, he also undertook a market research project in India to analyze student behavior in considering overseas higher education, which provided a platform for assessing the effectiveness of marketing scheme adopted by Malaysian universities for the Indian marketplace.

    After being based in UK for a while as a Consultant and associate for EDA’s parent firm Fielding Nair International, he was handpicked to setup EDA from scratch and spearhead operations across six cities in India. He is responsible for overseeing the design quality from an educational perspective, ensuring it is in sync with the latest global trends and abiding by the firm’s core philosophy of creating high performance learning environments for the 21st century. Working closely with the promoter organizations, he continues to drive the company professionally and ensures a high quality of service to clients. Acting as the primary point of contact for EDA, he has been able to convey the organization’s unique philosophy and outlook to clients in the region. Bipin holds his first degree in Computer Science & Engineering and also an MBA from the Leeds University Business School, UK.

    Jay J. Litman, AIA has a deep understanding and appreciation of the educational challenges facing both children and adults within the learning environment. His 30-years of professional experience has focused primarily on the planning and design of educational facilities for children, university facilities, public libraries, institutional projects and the reuse and rehabilitation of historic structures. His project background also extends to urban and campus planning.

    He is deeply involved in the emerging theories of project-based, collaborative learning that is reshaping the language of school design. His evolution towards a project-based, collaborative educational model grew from his personal interest in the education of hearing impaired children using an “inclusion” model. The emerging theories of the time mandated fundamental changes in the design of the classroom environment such as; learning in smaller groups, working collaboratively on project based assignments, creating multiple modes of learning within one classroom as well as paying attention to acoustics and lighting. It became immediately apparent that the current 100-year old factory model for public education was highly resistant to change at the most fundamental levels.

    Jay focused first on changing the model through design intervention by studying and improving acoustics, lighting and adjustments to the configuration of the classroom. In the design of new schools he utilized the “House Plan” model that created small learning communities of 100-students around a cluster of classrooms and labs. He is a founding member of the Rhode Island Chapter of the A. G. Bell Association for the Hearing Impaired and was involved on the RI Department of Education’s “Oral Education Task Force” in development of the “Rhode Island Strategic Plan for Children who are deaf or Hard of Hearing”

    As Senior Planning Consultant and Architect with FNI, Jay advocates a workshop driven approach for the design of new schools and community campuses both in the United States and internationally. Jay is known for his “roll up the sleeves” approach in working directly with client and stakeholder groups in an interactive manner through drawings and discussions to conceive and develop design concepts right in front of the group.

    Jay is presently working on a public school Master Plan for Middletown, Rhode Island where the FNI team has recommended consolidation of their current aged facilities into a lower school and an upper school campus through the radical rehabilitation of older school structures combined with new construction. In Serpong, Indonesia Jay is involved in the design of a new 1,400 student campus for a private academy (K-12), coordinating the FNI team on the design of nine distinct buildings including six Small Learning Communities a Global Learning Center, Design Arts Technology facility and a Health and Fitness Complex.

    Jay also has a unique specialization in the planning and design of public and academic libraries. In his career he has designed over sixteen public and university library projects. His design for the Warwick Public Library represented a radical departure from the accepted design template for a large public library. The Library is anchored around a linear spine or promenade that links a private cafe, public meeting spaces, an outdoor garden and various library departments, much like an open mall. The high level of public acceptance and use (over 500,000 visits per year and increasing), out of town use, and visits from other library planning groups is a testament to the library’s success. Jay has presented papers on Library design at various conferences over the years including the “The Beauty Thing” and “Renovating the Small Public Library” at annual meetings of the New England Library Association. He has been a featured speaker at the Art Librarians Association of New England and he is a long standing member of the State Library Board of Rhode Island.

    The approach to collaborative, project based learning and best practices of modern library design have recently come together in an FNI pilot project for Middletown, RI with a radical redesign of the Gaudet Middle School Library. The new design will expand the library’s ability to support many modalities of learning in a project based, collaborative atmosphere. Even the design of the book stacks is uniquely configured to accommodate cave type spaces for small group interaction. The new Library will offer multiple environments for classroom groups as well as a quiet refuge for individuals. Since furniture for this type of collaborative interaction does not exist, Jay developed prototypical designs to accommodate the expanded educational requirements. The new Gaudet Middle School Library will enable the teachers to fulfill the 21st century mission of a school library, which is to teach children how to search for and recognize reliable, quality information from available global databases and to teach students how to collaborate effectively.

    Prior to joining FNI Jay owned and managed a small 10-person practice that focused on Historic Preservation, Libraries and Schools. In 1995 Jay merged his firm with a large, regional multi-disciplined A/E practice where he served as Associate Director of Architecture. Jay secured and designed projects for many educational and institutional clients such as the University of Rhode Island, Brown University and the Acela program for Amtrak as well as several multiple school public school and public library projects. Notable projects included the Coastal Policy Institute at URI, the Warwick Public Library, and several middle and elementary schools. In late 1998 Jay left the A/E firm to help open and grow the Providence office of another Architecture practice from a staff of three to twenty-one professionals. As Senior Associate he marketed, secured, designed and managed a wide variety of institutional and academic clients. Key projects at this firm included the new Jesse M. Smith Library, the redesign of the Newport Public Library, Club Acela for Amtrak, and the award winning Hotel Providence and Temple Habonim.

    After receiving his professional degrees from the Rhode Island School of Design Mr. Litman worked for Mitchell/Giurgola Architects in New York City, Graham Gund in Cambridge, MA and Earl Flansburgh and Graham/Meus in Boston, MA. Notable project experience included the East Campus Master Plan for MIT, The Health Services & Technology Management laboratories at MIT, the Friuli Elementary School in Aviano, Italy, and the Boston Museum School. Jay served as project architect for the Emerson College Library and their Performing Arts School.

    Ms. Mossin is an expert architectural designer and urban planner with credits for numerous completed projects, pre-design feasibility studies and master planning programs for various buildings and complex land development projects in Europe and Asia.    

    As a Senior Architect and Project Director she participated in renovations and rehabilitations of well-known landmarks in US: renovation of Grand Central Terminal, historic preservation and rehabilitation of Chrysler Building, South Sea Port Development project, Lincoln Center Master plan and renovation of US
    State Capitol. 

    As a Senior Architect she was implementing eight-campus Indiana University system, one of the largest institutions of higher education in the United States.As part of the master planning team, she developed comprehensive plans for the Indianapolis and Bloomington campuses, addressed wide-ranging planning issues at all eight campuses, developed design guidelines, and coordinated design efforts for numerous new buildings, landscapes, and campus precincts. 

    In 2003-2009 she served as a Director of Urban planning for the international real estate and development firm in Moscow, Russia. Ms. Mossin was responsible for design and implementation of large-scale Master plans, including sustainable development on 6000 Hectares for planned population of 350,000 future residents near Moscow, Russia. She coordinated master planning process with several international teams of architects, engineers and designers, such as Albert Speer and Partners of Germany, URS of UK, Maxwan of Netherlands, SWA and UDA of USA and others.  

    From 2009 Ms. Mossin worked as a Head of Planning at the IREO LTD, largest US-Indian Private equity fund, heading master planning and design process for two new sustainable townships on 500 and 200 acres in the states of Punjab and Harayana.  

    Katia Mossin holds a Masters degree in Architecture from Moscow Institute of Architecture, Russia’s premier architectural school.

    Isaac Williams brings over a decade of professional experience from programming through construction administration to help FNI’s clients locate opportunities within their program, schedule and budget for innovative architecture that supports learning. As a senior designer with FNI, Isaac has provided design leadership in FNI projects around the world, including Douglas Park School and Herchmer School in Regina, Saskatchewan, Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia, Georgetown Primary School in the Cayman Islands, Sir James Douglas School and Acadia School in Vancouver, F.H. Collins High School in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, and most recently Bloomfield High School in Michigan.

    Isaac has lectured on school design and presented his design work nationally and internationally. He has served as juror for the American Institute of Architects Honor Awards, the National School Board Association’s “Learning by Design” awards, DesignShare’s international awards program, and served as a resource team member and panelist for the American Architectural Foundation’s Great Schools by Design program.

    Isaac also brings to bear his academic background as an assistant professor at the University of Maryland where he has taught undergraduate and graduate design studios, including a graduate design studio on school design. His graduate seminar “Learning Places” explores the potential of architecture as a form of pedagogy in places of learning. Isaac has also taught architecture internationally in several study abroad programs around the world, including Dubai, Rome, Copenhagen, and Helsinki.

    In 2007, Isaac was awarded a Henry C. Welcome Fellowship and a three-year grant by the Maryland Higher Education commission to continue his research and creative work focused on the relationship between space and learning.

    Mugdha works as a Team Lead, managing a team of several architects and interior designers and based at Bangalore studio. Prior to joining EDA, she worked as a green building consultant for a reputed firm conducting audits, feasibility studies and implementation of cost efficient green building strategies. She started her design career in California, USA with an architectural practise that specializes in sustainable architecture, where she got exposed to the green building industry, developed a deep understanding & liking for it. In the recent past, she has developed a passion for educational environments after closely following best practises in education & design. Continued research into pedagogy, learning outcomes and educational efficiency has sparked her to design creative 21st century learning communities for many private educational facilities in Asia.  

    Mugdha has a Masters in Architecture from the University of Colorado, Denver, USA and a Bachelors in Architecture from University of Pune, India. She has worked on several LEED certified buildings and is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED-AP). She has successfully delivered prestigious nationally and internationally acclaimed projects including the American School of Bombay in Mumbai, Oakridge International School in Bangalore, Deutsche Schule Bombay in Mumbai also popularly known as DSB International German School, Al-Batinah International School in Oman, Safa Community School in Dubai amongst several others. Her ability to synchronize with client community and their needs has given her the edge to be able to custom design innovative solutions that best suits innovative teaching & learning practises.

    Rajesh brings over a decade’s experience in handling projects of various scale across India. His education portfolio remains rich and notable after having served as project architect and lead for some popular institutions namely Indus International School , National Public School & New Horizon School in Bangalore, Dhruva Academy in Pune, India International School at Jaipur, Asian School of Business in Trivandrum and a Higher education campus in Mysore, amongst others. Rajesh believes that a positive & energetic learning environment has the potential to bring out hidden talent & abilities. Hence the key challenge for designers is to create such rich environments not only within the buildings but also in the entire campus. Without compromising on the design intent, it is essential to optimize utilization of spaces to achieve better returns on investment. Rajesh is actively leading a team of architects from conceptual planning stage to the final execution of project at site coordinating with clients, engineering consultants, contractors & other project partners. He oversees the targets set for the team from Program Analysis to Detailed drawings including as built drawings for a number of projects being managed by EDA.

    Avinash has experience in designing climate responsive buildings and holds a Master’s degree from Kansas State University in Architecture with emphasis on Ecological and Sustainable Architecture. His expertise lies in sustainable design that improves the quality of the space and well-being of  occupants. He is passionate about including daylight as the primary means to light spaces and incorporating cost-effective sustainable strategies for building design and operations. He started his architectural career in India while working on commercial and hospitality projects with sustainability as focus and later moved to USA for higher education. He believes in providing optimal design solutions involving judicious use of space and efficient utilization of the interplay of environment and design. He has worked on projects, of varying scale, in the arena of both architecture and interior design.

    Avinash works as a Team Lead managing a team of several architects and interior designers and is based at FNI’s fast growing Bangalore studio. Before joining EDA, Avinash worked for a sustainability firm where he worked on more than 50 LEED projects, facilitated design charrettes, coordinated LEED and other sustainability ratings, and provided daylighting consulting. His project experience covers commercial, educational, healthcare, recreational, service facilities, laboratories, airports, libraries, hospitalities, residential and government facilities in North America and India.

    He has presented at various conferences such as International Radiance Conference, Rocky Mountain Green, and at workshops for Colorado Governor’s Energy Office on various sustainability topics. During his stay at K-State, he also led recitation classes for Environmental Systems in Architecture for undergraduate students. His master’s research on climate responsiveness of vernacular architecture has been cited in many research studies. He is a LEED accredited professional (LEED-AP BD+C) and also a Green Globes Professional (GGP).

    He believes in commitment to sustainability not only for environmental reasons but also for social justice reasons and gets energized by learning from people and places through domestic and international travels. He believes that the world is his playground as well as classroom!

    Arati has over 11 years of hands-on work experience in the architectural, interior and landscape design and execution aspects of projects ranging from lake front developments, farmhouses, community centers, showrooms, apartments and villas. With the history of a kindergarten school being run by her family, Arati understands the diverse requirements of an effective school building from the perspective of children, parents, teachers and administrative staff.

    As a senior architect at EDA, Arati’s focus is to amalgamate architecture and landscape and create spaces that are responsive to the surrounding environment, ecology and climate. Her core belief is that children are happiest when surrounded by a comfortable natural environment that, apart from many other benefits, stimulates their curiosity and therefore enhances self-learning. She integrates these core ideas into the planning to also bring down costs, improve functionality and bring out open and vibrant learning spaces. Her skills and experience have been valuable in the design and execution of EDA’s projects like Oakridge International School in Bangalore, DSB International German School, IICS in Turkey, Vantage Hall in Dehradun etc., to name a few.

    As an Interior Designer and Educational Planner, Jennifer’s role at FNI allows her to actively participate in all phases of the design process, including: facilitating design and planning workshops, developing Discovery Workbooks and planning materials for clients, produce Interior Design Workbook Guides, space planning and programming, and create 3D renderings and hand sketches for schematic designs. She is passionate about creating healthy and engaging learning environments so that students are uninhibited creatively and academically and inspired for a lifetime of learning. Working closely with the design architects, Jennifer ensures that the interiors function as a 21st century educational space to allow for maximum flexibility and variety with furniture selections and are aesthetically inspiring with interior details, lighting, finishes and color selections.

    Jennifer also serves as an Senior Researcher for an innovative research project: Task Furniture for Education (TFE). TFE has involved top designers, furniture manufacturers and ergonomic experts from around the world to develop guidelines for educational furniture that responds to the recent trends in technology, flexibility, and collaboration in today’s schools.

    With FNI, she has worked on numerous projects, including: International School of Brussels, International School of Vietnam, Sinarmas World Academy in Indonesia, Medford Elementary Schools, Herchmer Wascana and Arcola Community Schools in Regina, Saskatchewan, North Central Shared Facility and Regina Skills and Trade Center in Regina, Saskatchewan, LAS Almaty in Kazakhstan, LAS Leysin in Switzerland, American Community School of Abu Dhabi, and Georgetown Primary in the Cayman Islands. Most recently she served as a Project Manager for schematic designs for P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School in Gainesville, Florida and Thomas Jefferson High School for Design and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia.

    She received her Master of Interior Design degree from the University of Florida’s College of Design, Construction and Planning. Her studies cumulated in a thesis titled “Investing action research as a planning and designing approach: A post- occupancy evaluation of University of Florida College of Law’s Legal Information Center.” She strongly encourages the collaborative process of design by use of action research methodologies. Allowing the stakeholders from the community to be apart of the team-based design process ensures positive outcomes and changes for present and future generations. The ideas that emerge from involving the teachers, parents, administrators, and students lead to creating inspirational learning environments that the community is able to truly take ownership of. She has a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Theater from Skidmore College where she studied in London with the prestigious Shakespeare Programme participating in acting workshops with masters from the Royal Shakespeare Company.

    Annalise Gehling is a Melbourne-based teacher, geographer and planner and serves as FNI’s Educational Planning Consultant. Annalise has worked on National School Planning Standards in Abu Dhabi, trained Government Officials on School Facilities Assessment in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, researched and authored a detailed Master Plan of the Cayman Islands’ school environments, acted as chief planner for a school library refurbishment, and played a key role in FNI’s School Planning contracts in the United States, India, Ukraine, Victoria, Malaysia, Tasmania, New Zealand, UAE and the Cayman Islands.

    In addition, Annalise has had a number of speaking engagements at regional, national and international events, and has authored papers for The Anneberg Institute at Brown University, British Council for School Environments, Australian Education Union, Edutopia and the School Libraries Association of Victoria.

    Annalise’s work with FNI draws upon her recent teaching experiences, big-picture educational philosophy and broad understanding of educational literature. Annalise earned a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Adelaide, Australia, in 2002. Her excellent results in majors of Geography, and Media and Communication showcased her talents as a spatial and linguistic thinker. After working as a graduate in the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Annalise turned to her passion for education and completed a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary and Secondary) at Deakin University.

    Annalise is a member of the Australian College of Educators, and also teaches part-time at several Melbourne schools.

    Maija has taught in International Schools around the world for over 15 years. During her teaching career, she has worked with different age groups and nationalities and have seen how the learning environment can enhance the culture of learning in the classroom. Maija is an inquiry based teacher, facilitating self-efficacy and supporting self-directed learning with her students and teams. Learning spaces play a central role when students are engaged in discovery, research and inquiry. They can provide students with access to the learning in a whole new level, allowing students agency and control over the way they best learn.  

    Maija believes that it is paramount to the learning experience of today and future that students have opportunities to make connections to the world outside the school building and engage with the community around them. Learning spaces that provide opportunities to explore the environment and nature and access to make connections with outdoor learning can impact profoundly students’ engagement and ownership of learning. In her leadership roles, Maija has had a chance to promote similar respectful philosophy for learning as with her students and her teams have been empowered to make decisions about their learning. In her latest role as the Director of Professional Learning at NIST International School in Bangkok, Thailand, Maija has had a chance to promote lifelong learning and provide professional learning opportunities for teachers all over the South East Asian region through the Professional Learning Hub @ NIST. In this role, Maija has also engaged in learning space and furniture design and has been part of the six year renovation project of all learning spaces at NIST.  

    Maija is originally from Rovaniemi at the Arctic Circle in Finland and studied at University of Oulu, Finland in a special International Master of Education program focusing on intercultural competencies in the field of education and learning in a multicultural classroom. Her multiple language skills have taken Maija around the world and she has taught at United Nations International School in Hanoi and New York in addition to her native Finland and latest commitment in Bangkok. She has recently finalized her studies for a Diploma of Interior Design at the International School of Colour and Design, where, whenever she could, she focused on learning spaces in her assignments. Along with working as a Senior Education Consultant for Education Design Architects in Bangalore, Maija is running workshops and professional development for students, teachers and parents about learning spaces and their impact on learning, and is engaging in conversations about learning spaces with several schools across Asia Pacific region.

    With a profound interest in architecture and design, Frantish started his career with KGD-Architecture in Bangalore in the year 2009. As a fresher, he was given the opportunity to work on variety of projects that ranges from master-planning to detail working drawings. In search of deeper knowledge of Architecture, Frantish joined the master’s program of Theory & Design in CEPT University, Ahmedabad in the year 2011.

       

    After completing MARCH, he joined Gayathri & Namith Architects(GNA), Bangalore in 2013 as senior Architect. Within a year, Frantish was promoted to Jr. Associate Architect in 2014, and started handling projects independently. Given the opportunity, Frantish has worked on multiple scale of projects starting from residences, housing, resorts, museums, Institutional campus etc. During his practise with GNA, Frantish successfully completed two major buildings right from concepts to interiors for a residential International School in Mangalore in 2016.

       

    In pursuit for understanding the 21st century education system, Frantish is currently a part of EDA as a Senior Architect since 2016. He is actively indulged in master planning institutional campuses both national and international projects. The proposed Dr. B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics in Bangalore, is one of the important projects of EDA, where he has given his major contributions.

Kaushik holds a professional master’s degree in Architecture from Texas A&M University (USA), a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from JNTU, Hyderabad and is also a LEED accredited professional since 2009. Recognized for his strength in design, his expertise lies in concept design, feasibility studies, programming, master planning and design development.

     

    As a senior architect at EDA, Kaushik is responsible for the design and delivery of projects ranging from campus master planning to build design for higher education, multi-disciplinary campuses, schools and supporting facilities.

    For a short period of time got an opportunity to work on the product (modular furniture) design development and price analysis for “Q-interiors” It helped Abhinav to understand about the technicalities of the modular furniture industry and its economics.
     

    For him, architecture is all about creating spaces for interaction between people, built form and environment because design(built form) creates an impact on both and it can be vice versa. In words of Winston Churchill – “We shape our buildings and afterwards, they shape us”. So our job as an architect is to bring people closer towards the environment through built forms, using modern technologies to make our buildings sustainable and climate responsive.     I’m an Architect by day and I wouldn’t swap my career for anything in the world. During my studies i have learned that proper design of each space improves the quality of the users life. For this reason, I consider each new project to be a personal challenge and i always aim to achieve the most high quality space production. I get overly dramatic by well designed spaces and also small misjudgements like hanging artwork too high or choosing paint in gloss rather than matte finish can trouble me an entire day.

    She has been involved in leading a team and working with a number of colleges and universities in pan India assisting them in creating reports, gap analysis and ICT based process implementation. She has a well understanding of creating a compliance dashboard and actionable task control panels for various business and application roles. She is familiar with conducting workshop and meeting with the decision-makers and stakeholders of the higher education institutions for understanding the existing processes, creating process documentation and working on user acceptance testing.

    Nikesh has completed his Graphic Design course from ZICA (Zee Institute of Creative Arts) Mumbai.
    He started to work with small-scale businesses & companies for their branding & design requirements while he was still learning the design course.
    In 2016 the first full-time job opportunity landed him a position as a Creative Graphic Designer in UrbanPlace.in, Mumbai (a start-up from the real estate industry) as the sole responsible person for all the design related works. His work ranged from creative & promotional social media posts, online & offline marketing campaigns, print related design works, and even the company’s website.
    After developing an eye for minimalistic design which he believed in from the very start of his learning days, the hunger to work on more & more projects and love for the start-up culture he shifted to Bangalore in late 2017.
    His ability to visualize & design on his own led him to work with Aitron IT Solutions which is yet another start-up in Bangalore where he was again the sole designer, majorly designing websites & app based on client requirements.
    “It was a short period of time with Aitron, but not at all short on work & learning experience,” he says.
    Now with EDA, he wishes to use all his learnings & design insights to enhance the awesome company’s profile by giving it the special touch of minimalistic design which he believes is much needed in the current design scenarios worldwide.

     

    His keen interest in any form of art, love for touring on his motorcycle & to explore the entire country is what keeps him busy, motivated & entertained even when he is not working.
